On September 14, 3,250 invitations to apply were given by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) following the sixth Express Entry draw since all program draws resumed on July 6.
The cutoff score for the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) was 511 points. Due to the lack of a specified programme for the draw, candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Federal Skilled Trades Program received invitations (FSTP). Express Entry is one of the most well-liked immigration paths to Canada.
Each draw brought the total up by 250. Last week’s draw saw a substantial increase in the 500 ITAs, and today’s draw continues that trend. The CRS score requirement has also been lowered, dropping by eight to nine points for each draw. But this draw stands out because the margin of defeat was only five points. The lowest CRS score for the draw on July 6 was 557.
The IRCC suspended all Express Entry lotteries for a duration of more than 18 months starting in December 2020. During this time, only those who were eligible for permanent residency through the CEC or the Provincial Nominee Program were asked to apply (PNP). However, CEC draws were also halted in September 2021.
