Express Entry Score Down to 496

The CRS has gone below 500 in an all-program draw for the first time since December 2020.

Canada held its most recent all-program Express Entry draw on October 26.

Since all program draws resumed on July 6, this is the ninth draw.

Candidates having a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 496 were invited. Invitations were extended to candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP). All of these initiatives are part of the Express Entry system.

Express Entry all-program draws were stopped for over 18 months beginning in December 2020. Only candidates from the CEC or the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) were invited to apply during the break (ITAs). The draws were halted due to an application backlog created by COVID-19-related travel restrictions. IRCC also suspended CEC draws in September 2021.

The CRS has dropped below 500 for the first time since draws commenced. The score was 468 on December 23, 2020, the last time it was this low. Following that draw, all-program Express Entry draws were suspended in order to prevent adding to the backlog of applications for permanent residence.
